The Making of Greater Flamingo

Inspired by the flame-coloured birds that grace the world’s great lakes, their extraordinary feathers glowing pink and coral.

Colours

It took over seven years to collect the diamonds in the collection. Featuring an array of fancy pink, brownish and orangey pink diamonds arranged in the set in an ombré effect.

Diamonds

Round brilliant and marquise-shape were chosen to feature heavily in the Greater Flamingo set in order to convey the fluttering feathers of their wings. The combination of the fancy colours and cuts of the diamonds makes the set impossible to recreate identically.

Setting

The setting and metals were carefully chosen by the designer and jeweller to maximise and compliment the diamond colour and cut.

Inspection

Quality control is the final step of the creation process. Each jewellery piece undergoes thorough inspection by De Beers experts to ensure perfection and impeccable craftsmanship.
